What I Wore: Boxhill Picnic

This is what I wore to a picnic in Boxhill with my family on Sunday, and the more observant person will probably wonder why I wore a high waisted flippy skirt to walk around in the woods and sit in grass? Well, I have no answer, I just love this circle skirt, maybe too much. I also didn’t realise how weird ears look until I opened that photo up in Photoshop, so I apologise if it gave you the heebie jeebies, ears shouldn’t have to be seen close up, and that’s my lesson learned.

The jumper was soon taken off as the sun out-powered the wind and our walking got a little too much for this Primark slouchy knit. If you follow me on Instagram, you will have caught a glimpse or two of the view and what I got up to, including cream tea at Denbies’ Wine Estate, which is the most beautiful place! When we went, there was a wedding going on so it wasn’t fully open, and I’m not sure how I’d feel about having a wedding somewhere where strangers were also popping in for drinks and food, but at least there’s no compromise on the beautiful views!

Circle Skirt – American Apparel, Bracelet – Topshop (I bought this for £2.50 due to some barcode difference that meant they had to price it at a sale price even though it was exactly the same as the ones still in the shop for £12.50! A real case of being in the right place at the right time..!)

Loving this outfit, so chic and perfect for a summers picnic. Your not silly for wearing a skirt, you might as well make the most of being able to have your legs out before it gets cold and then they’ll be covered up in jeans and trousers for months :) this bracelet was a complete bargain, lucky find.
