It isn’t often I wear a dress simple and wearable for daytime that still makes me want to twirl around like a princess. But this Chicwish number has the fullest skirt (a little risky when the weather consists of strong gusts of wind) even though it’s in a very muted navy. Teamed with my go-to ASOS shirt, and a beautiful floral embossed bag from Nica, I thought I’d scrubbed up pretty well for the afternoon’s antics..!
Meeting Olivia and heading to The Gilbert Scott for afternoon tea with a Charlotte Brontë theme isn’t what I’d call a normal afternoon. In fact, it was my first ever experience of afternoon tea! And it didn’t disappoint; with every piece on the menu inspired by and featuring Brontë’s life, it felt like I was stepping in to both a history lesson and a real-life reenactment of one of Brontë’s visits to London. Being the history & literary lover that I am, it was the perfect fusion! Unfortunately for me, I didn’t meet a certain Mr. Rochester in the restaurant- Jane Eyre fans holla! ; ). This special tea is running until 11th February so if you’re a fan of the Brontës and you fancy indulging, stop by The Gilbert Scott! x
